March 8, 2014 : Meet at Briarwood, the Caroline Dormon Nature Preserve Interpretive/Edu. Building 9:30 AM.  Bring a sack lunch & water.  Comfortable walking shoes.
We will tour areas on the Nature Preserve first until the sun has opened the flowers of the trout lilies then car pool to the Skidder area in Kisatchie National Forest and walk up stream on Piney Branch to see the colony of Trout lilies, Erythronium rostrata, also Trilliums, Solomon’s-seal, and  other goodies.  At the end  of our walk we’ll see some ancient rocks in the  stream bed.
If there is time we would love to drive  over to where Malaxis unifolia orchids grow.
Looking forward to seeing everyone—If you have questions do get in touch with
Richard & Jessie  (note: email address is all lower case letters)
